||
This duplex seamless stainless steel pipe is manufactured from 2205 (1.4462) duplex stainless steel, a dual-phase alloy that combines the strength of ferritic steel with the corrosion resistance of austenitic steel. The balanced ferrite-austenite microstructure gives 2205 roughly twice the yield strength of standard austenitic grades, allowing lighter wall sections and reduced material cost without sacrificing performance. Its high chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen content delivers excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion, making it ideal for aggressive marine and offshore environments. The seamless construction provides uniform strength and eliminates weld seams that could compromise integrity. Available in outer diameters from 6 mm to 813 mm with wall thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 60 mm, the pipe is supplied in standard and custom cut lengths.

The 2205 duplex seamless stainless steel pipe is widely specified for offshore oil and gas platforms, subsea pipelines, desalination plants, and marine systems where both high strength and chloride corrosion resistance are essential. In desalination facilities, it withstands the aggressive seawater environment in feed, brine, and product water lines without suffering the pitting and stress corrosion cracking that affect austenitic grades. In offshore service, its high strength allows thinner walls and lower weight, reducing structural loads and installation costs. The pipe is also used in chemical tankers, coastal infrastructure, and process systems handling brackish or saline fluids. Its balanced properties deliver a long service life with minimal maintenance in demanding marine applications.
Packaging & Quality AssuranceEach pipe is protected with plastic end caps and wrapped before being assembled into steel-strapped bundles or packed into seaworthy wooden cases for export. This packaging prevents surface damage and corrosion during ocean and road transport. Complete mill test certificates, including chemical composition, mechanical properties, and NDT reports, are provided with every order. Manufacturing is performed under an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system, with optional third-party inspection by SGS or BV to meet offshore project requirements.
