2014-T6 round aluminum bar is a heat-treatable aluminum-copper alloy supplied in the solution heat treated and artificially aged T6 temper. It delivers one of the highest strength-to-weight combinations available in the 2xxx series while keeping the machinability and dimensional stability that precision manufacturers rely on. Each bar is straightened, aged and ultrasonically inspected to meet the requirements of AMS 4121 and ASTM B221, which makes this product a dependable raw material choice for critical structural programs.
Unlike ordinary commercial aluminum rod, 2014-T6 maintains a large share of its room temperature strength when service temperatures rise toward 150°C. This elevated temperature capability separates it from 6061 or 6082 grades and explains why design engineers select it for heavily loaded parts that face moderate heat during operation. The alloy is supplied with a bright machined surface, tight diameter tolerance and full traceability from the original ingot to the finished bar.

2014-T6 round aluminum bar is widely used for aircraft structural members, wing and fuselage fittings, bulkhead supports, heavy duty truck frames, crane components and general engineering parts where high strength and low weight must coexist. Machine shops serving the aerospace supply chain regularly specify this grade for turned brackets, clevis pins, spacer rings and structural bushings. The alloy also appears in tooling fixtures and jigs where repeated handling demands a stiff, stable material that will not creep under clamping loads.
Processing ServicesWe support the full range of downstream operations, including precision saw cutting, CNC turning, centerless grinding, hexagon and square conversion, and protective packaging for sea or air freight. Every batch is accompanied by EN 10204 type 3.1 mill certificates that list chemical composition and mechanical test results, giving your quality department complete confidence before production begins.
Packaging & Quality AssuranceBars are coated with anti-rust oil, wrapped in waterproof kraft paper and packed into fumigation-free plywood cases with steel strapping, which keeps the material scratch-free during long ocean voyages. Smaller diameters are bundled with plastic spacers between layers to prevent fretting damage in transit. Our laboratory performs chemical analysis, tensile testing and hardness verification on every production lot, and third party inspection by SGS or BV can be arranged when your contract requires it. Please contact our sales team with your diameter, temper and quantity requirements to receive a formal quotation within one working day.
