||
5754-H112 round aluminum bar is a non-heat-treatable aluminum-magnesium alloy with a nominal magnesium content of around 3%, giving it an outstanding combination of weldability, corrosion resistance and stable mechanical properties. The H112 temper describes material that is simply hot worked and allowed to cool, which preserves good formability while still offering respectable strength for structural service. Marine engineers and chemical plant fabricators choose 5754 when welded structures must survive salt water, humidity and mildly aggressive process atmospheres without the need for post-weld heat treatment.
Our 5754-H112 bars are produced from continuously cast and hot rolled feedstock, giving a uniform fine grain structure and a clean surface free from lamination defects. Because the alloy is not age hardenable, its properties do not drift during service or storage, which simplifies design calculations for permanently installed equipment.

5754-H112 round aluminum bar serves the shipbuilding industry for handrails, deck fittings and interior structures on vessels where salty air attacks ordinary steel. Chemical plant operators use the alloy for process piping supports, tank fittings and access structures exposed to humid or mildly corrosive atmospheres, while cryogenic equipment builders rely on its retained toughness at low temperature. The grade also appears in road transport, food processing equipment and architectural metalwork where a durable, weldable, low maintenance material is required.
Processing ServicesWe supply bars in standard mill lengths or cut to fabrication drawings, with options for chamfering, polishing and protective end capping. For welded assemblies we can recommend matching filler metals and provide material that has been verified clean of oil and contamination suitable for marine classification work. Documentation includes mill certificates with chemical analysis and mechanical test results.
Packaging & Quality AssuranceBars are wrapped in waterproof paper and packed in fumigation-free plywood cases, with rust preventive treatment applied where material will travel by sea. Cushioning between layers protects the surface for anodizing or polishing later in your process. Each lot is inspected for dimensional compliance and mechanical properties under our ISO 9001 quality management system, and marine classification society inspection can be arranged when specified.
