||
6013-T6 round aluminum bar is a heat-treatable aluminum-magnesium-silicon-copper alloy engineered for welded aerospace structures that previously had to choose between weldability and strength. Compared with 6061-T6, the workhorse of the 6xxx family, 6013-T6 offers approximately 12% higher tensile strength together with better fracture toughness and fatigue performance, while retaining the forgiving welding characteristics of the 6xxx series. Designers of fuselage frames, floor structures and transport applications increasingly specify this grade when damage tolerance matters.
Material is produced with tight control of copper content and aging practice to balance strength against corrosion resistance, then straightened and inspected to aerospace drawing requirements. Bars arrive with full chemical and mechanical certification and consistent machined surface quality.

6013-T6 round aluminum bar is specified for aircraft fuselage frames, wing ribs, floor beams, seat tracks and other welded airframe assemblies where joints must carry real load. The alloy is equally valuable in ground transport, including light rail car bodies, armored vehicle structures and truck chassis components that are welded and then heat treated or aged. Fabricators producing weldments from bar stock appreciate the alloy ability to hold tolerances through multi-pass welding with fewer distortion correction cycles.
Processing ServicesWe offer precision saw cutting, CNC machining, centerless grinding and stress relieving services for long machined components. Material can be supplied in rough mill finish for forging or in bright drawn condition for immediate automatic lathe processing. Mill certificates and optional third party ultrasonic inspection reports accompany each delivery.
Packaging & Quality AssuranceBars are protected with anti-rust oil and moisture barrier wrapping, then packed in fumigation-free plywood cases with internal cushioning to preserve straightness and surface quality during ocean freight. Every lot is verified for chemical composition, tensile properties and hardness under our ISO 9001 quality system, and special packaging for air freight is available for urgent orders. Please contact us with your required diameter, length and delivery schedule to obtain a quotation with confirmed lead time.
